Vision: 

​

• An intimate group of therapists (maximum 5) with a focus on caring for ourselves and for each other in our therapy work. Together we will explore our respective gifts and "medicine" as therapists. 

​​

• Through shared cases/reflections on our practice, we will approach difficult therapeutic encounters with empathy and compassion. We will use somatic inquiry to attune to subtle embodied wisdom and navigate signs of empathic distress and burnout. 

​​

• Drawing from the Internal Family System model and other Mindfulness approaches, we will consider how to cultivate the qualities of Self that support us to thrive and to care for the parts of us that inevitably struggle in our work with our clients.

 

Format: 

​

• A six-week, 90-minute closed group. We begin each session with a thematic guided meditation and self-reflection on a theme related to embodied practice. 

​​

• Each group member will be invited to share what is arising in their therapy work and to ask for support from the group. 

​​

• Together we will practice deep embodied listening and the sharing of our collective wisdom. The intention of the group is to co-create a circle of care that holds us in this challenging and meaningful profession.

 

Timing: Mondays or Fridays 12pm -1:30pm - beginning September 25/28th
